I was laughing really hard at the pretty cartoon...until I realized there was red coming out of your lady business. And then I just sat staring at the computer, not sure what that meant. Is your body just thinking, "Twins" and the dots are poorly placed? Or are you bleeding?

Or maybe I'm just overthinking a perfectly simple, funny cartoon. Yeah, that's probably it.

Mrs. Higrens said...

Yeah. Totally hear you. Good luck with that.

Good point, Allison! That's actually me shitting little red hearts that say TWINS!

No bleeding. :) My hematoma is gone. The only drama is in my warped brain!

Jen, I almost peed my pants! Sorry you are feeling poorly, but thanks for making me laugh!!!

This probably won't make you feel better, but I'll be 25 weeks on Friday & am still nauseous every single effing day. Plus, I have the voms all morning, most afternoons, and sometimes into the evening. It's even worse when I forget to take my Zofran.

Hang in there.

It looks like your vagina is farting with glee over the idea of twins. Interesting.

If Picasso had been capable of gestation living room walls around the world would be a lot more horrific. Beautifully done.

If I wasn't so reproductively challenged that I could PG I probably wouldn't be so bitter and might feel sorry for you.

I mean seriously, sperm like totally hate my eggs and you're bitching that you 1. have the money for not one but TWO rounds of IVF and 2. have a healthy pregnancy with not one, but two babies.

I hope you puke hard chunks through your nose.

Barbara said...

Dear Anonymous above... I'm so sorry that you are struggling with infertility. A lot of us who read this blog have been exactly where you are. I used to say "If only I got pregnant, I'd puke with a smile and everything would be sunshine and roses." When I started puking 5 times a day for 20 weeks, that smile quickly turned to bitching and whining and complaining about how miserable I was. Yes, thankful to be pregnant, but it sucks ass to puke all day long and not be able to eat anything. No one deserves that whether or not they can get pregnant. I wish you the best! I know how you feel.

Jen said...

Oh Anonymous at 3:37...I do hope you get pregnant soon.

But, you know, don't spew hate on my blog. Or, if you do, have the balls enough to post under your blogger account, because we all know that you have one.

Even with morning sickness...you are hilarious. But seriously, although I am not the artist that you are, that is exactly what I would have drawn when I was pregnant. It's so frustrating to know that you're should be feeling some way, or you WANT to be feeling happy, but you just physically can't. Take care of yourself, ask your dr. about other meds that might work for you, and in the end, I ended up getting IV antinausea meds and IV fluids, which while a pain to get, actually helped somewhat. Please take care of yourself....but keep the funnies coming. Because you know, we need them :).

Man, that picture rings true. Maybe we can size it down for a right of passage preggo with twins t-shirt or I should just apply to your work and make the circle of Or Geese complete. Your call.

I have so much love for this post. Like a whole lot.

Sandra said...

Love it!!! Especially the "ice cream later". I remember that horrible combination of crippling nausea yet also starving. I was sick the whole way through with my twins but the nausea did get much better after the 12 week mark. Hope you get over the worst of it soon!

I hate it when little red hearts shoot out of my vajayjay

PJ said...

You are such the artist! :)

I had some SERIOUS morning (all day) sickness! Twin prgnancy hormones, I'm tellin' ya, it's rough!

I ended up taking Zofran, which worked pretty well. I'm sure if you ask your doc, you can get a script for it.

Those ginger chew candies helped some too.

Carol said...

You are awesome. Morning sickness sucks. Gestating another human being sucks. Two has gotta suck worse. Good thing babies come out...well they don't come out all cute but good thing babies eventually are cute and squishy and loveable.

Anonymous said...

Is the Zofran making any difference yet? I'll add my vote for the Unisom/vitamin b6 combo (or Diclectin as its called here in Canada) Was a big help for me.

I used to call my husband, crying, while kneeling over a puddle of my puke on the floor of our living room during my first trimester. I lost 15 pounds, though.

Jaci said...

Wow. I can't believe anonymous took a funny post THERE.

No one tells a chemo patient that to suck it up when they complain about puking. Puking sucks whether you have the flu, drank too much, ate bad burritos, or are 10 weeks pregnant.

If you puke? You earn the right to bitch about it. THE END.

Crazy Sister said...

Your artwork is spectacularly funny. I adore the twin love up your hooey.

Surely you can't feel sick for much longer? It must be awful.

Does your anonymous commenter want you to pretend you don't feel sick, because your nausea insults her?

Rochelle said...

Your. blog. is. AWESOME. So is the artwork, haha! Hope you are feeling better soon!

Texan Mama @ Who Put Me In Charge said...

That is too funny. Maybe with twice as many babies, you get twice as sick.!?!?!

Hey if you have the chance will you reply to me via email b/c I'd like to ask you a question but don't see anywhere to find your contact info. THX.

'Murgdan' said...

If I open an art gallery will you do more pikchers?

I hope you feel better soon. Puking sucks. Can you believe some people do it voluntarily as a weight loss solution?

EB said...

Ah the vommy vommity days of the twin pregnancy. It's a technicolor toilety horror show. And you can't see it, but I'm giving you the power fist of twin mom solidarity. (I'm also giving your Anonymous poster the finger with my other hand. IF is horrible but don't be "That Person." Dude.)

Emily said...

Well, I have been MIA for-eva, so first of all - HUGE congratulations!!! Very excited for you and the family.
So sorry you are sick, feel better!

I have to laugh since we did IVF and I had HG as well. My husband's cousin who was also reproductively challenged told my ILs I did it to myself because I pumped my body full of those unnatural drugs. I wished she would have been around to say that to my face. I would have puked on her!
